Paul is well-known in Bedford, having lived here since the age of 7. He had a long and occasionally distinguished playing career with the Bedford Blues, Harlequins and Bedford Athletic. In the halcyon days of amateur rugby, Paul supported himself through working in the financial services industry with Cantor Fitzgerald in London. He turned professional for two seasons, but as it was in the twilight of his playing career, Paul already had one eye to the future and opened his first investment and financial advice business in Bedford in 1998. Over the next 11 years Paul built up his office to be one of the parent firm’s most successful practices in the UK.
Always willing to take on a new challenge, Paul established Harpur Wealth Management in 2010 along the same principles of face-to-face service, community involvement and personal relationships. Paul is very active in the local Bedford community through membership of a number of business networking groups.
